You know those times that you are doing a project that uses just small amounts of yarn, ribbon, twine, thread, or, well you know… and maybe you need several colors, or pieces, and you don’t want to get them tangled, or dirty. It’s time to put them on a bobbin!
These are my version of an inexpensive, but durable bobbin for all kinds of projects, maybe braiding, intarsia knitting, beading, or, well you know the list goes on.
I have three sizes;
Baby Bears come in sets of 12, and they are 3/4″ between the ears. A very compact and handy way to manage small bits of fibers.
Mama Bears come in sets of 8, and are 1″ between the ears. Handy for longer amounts of fibers, and as an added advantage, she can be used as a yarn gauge also. (WPI) I like to use these to keep my long strings of beads in control, with Mama Bears.
Papa Bears come in sets of 4, and are 2″ between the ears. Handy way to manage fibers for larger projects. As an added advantage, he can be a small hand loom to test a color way.
